Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble,
Simmer sauce in a rolling bubble,
With tomatoes the cauldron is begun
Then add garlic and mounds of onion,
Uncork the merlot and taste a sip
And into the cauldron the bottle tip,
A dash of salt and pepper green and red,
Then finely chopped herbs are fed
Mixing with the blood red bubble
Stirring, stirring, with sip no trouble
And away the bottle of fine merlot
Came to the caldron in simmer slow.

And time passes

Where did that bottle go?
A fine full bodied merlot
From a vineyard somewhere near
Oh, I see, it’s empty I fear,
But no worry about such things
I’ve another down in my cellar,
Just another stir of the pot
And I’ll go see what types I’ve got.
Now to pick a pasta is the trouble
As the cauldron simmers in bubble,
Fan or shells of strands so long
Elbows slip nicely into the water.

And time passes

Now where the devil did that cork screw go?
Bubble, bubble goes the pots on the stove,
Not really a cauldron, but I have one,
Handy for curses and charms and things,
Cast iron and heavier than I care to carry,
But what even heating to a stew it brings,
Not that I’m making a stew, mind you,
Just a little sauce for pasta in the bubble
And it might be easily said
For now I’m seeing a more than touch of red
If I were to drive in might be trouble.

And dinner is served

Gloom

cheers to serenity

This was a fun read. The only thing missing was a drink while reading it. *s

Hi Prof. Hope you are doing well.

I bought my share of mistakes so I might see some interest.
