Time    (wondering again...)

Sometimes time stops       for just a moment
and then the moment is gone
then we dream about tomorrow
and the coming of the  dawn.
Sometimes time             is but a memory
that comes knocking at your door
it slips into the realms of yesterday
because time holds so much more.

Time can be our worst enemy
or it can often be our best friend
it can soften the blows of life
and give a heart        the gift of mend.
Is time considered eternity,
and if so how long will it last?
Is time a measure of tomorrow
does it hold truths    born of the  past?

I believe time can be a mystery
an adventure of life to play
time can be so many things
but sometimes time begins......today.....

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

I really liked how you employed the "sometimes"--it opens up potential, not just for you, as the author, but for me as a reader.

Time is not easy to write about...I've tried many times...it's always interesting...your poem is that, and beautiful!
