I found a thing I like
Like many poets do.
Do different forms delight you?
You, then, may like it, too!

A conachlonn, it's called,
Called by the Celts that way.
Way to connect the lines,
Lines chain-linked in display.

The last word of each line
Lines up to lead the next.
Next time you want to try,
Try not to be perplexed!

So show me what you've got.
Got time to give a try?
Try not to give up soon
Soon you will write like I!!!

sometimes I can do these
these do fustrate me more than others
others may find them easier to do than me
me? I will stick to forms not so hard!

Yeah right! If only writing like you happened that easy.  I am going to try it though.

Oh 'Deer this could be hard you know?
Know I am trying the best I can
Can you see I do try hard 'Deer,
'Deer do you understand?

ROTFL...this one was fun to try 'Deer.
I'm just so used to writing in free verse.

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

I will try most anything,
anything that's fun!
Fun is what I came here for--
for this--but you and I

would probably have fun alone--
(alone together possibly?)
Possibly that's just a dream.
A dream of how I would...

rhyme a twine of poetry.
Poetry with assonence!
Assonence? (I'm innocent!)
Innocent in rhyme.

So, that is what it is called!!  I remember doing something very similar, and at that time, we didn't know if it had a name or not!

Geez...now I have to go FIND it!

Between the Lines

I'll join you in the write
Write now, I'll place these words
Words that show the pleasure
Pleasure given when heard

For here between these lines
Lines space the meanings so
So every one who reads
Reads rhyming sounds each go

Chain-linked fun, this word form
Form words formed thoughts for you
You know I challenge well
Well challenged, I can do

So try me when you can
Can do in trying times
Time's about to end now
Now wasn't this a crime?

SEA...you gave it a fine try! Nuttin' wrong with that

Mysteria...we're gonna wait for ya!

Enchantress..I understand! I understand! You done good trying!

Serenity..good grief! You could make any form erotic! Not only did you adhere to the tules of the form, you did it with extremely clever wordplay. Is there nothing you can't do?

Sunshine...happy hunting!

Martie...interesting you are/are you prepared to try?/Try a time or two/to give up is to die.

Thanks for joining in, miss!

nakdthoughts..you certainly DO challenge well. I should have known better!! Thank you for the wonderful lines (and what's between them).

To all of you, I thank you. It's always fun to tax the brain a bit and explore parts of poetry less known. You are all great sports!

Deer -- I love this form!  I may give it a whirl myself as it does appeal to me!  Not only did you gift us with information....but you excelled at it!  Thanks.     .....jo
