A dusting waits beyond the sash
Attuned the moan of longing
Curving slight of Venus brow
Elongated remnants recall pine trails
Patiently, speaks the creek of eager bark
By the wind chimes change
And I…
I feel the cold at the moment
Restless in the banter of a too full mind
Carved and fitted, here I hold the answers
Yet they lack and neutral colors every edge

Too much pours from my heart
Flowing over all the walls and overtaking hem
Or if I needed just a little time
It seems to fall upon the back of concern
And morning remains faceless
But I…
I feel alone at the moment
Though temporary is as sure as this
And just perhaps that is the reason
In moments like these, winter makes sense

feel alone at the moment
Though temporary is as sure as this
And just perhaps that is the reason
In moments like these, winter makes sense

Perfect sense
the pause
between
the growing
and the grieving
of the tree
a time for clarity

Dearest Kay,  you have written such feelings
so accurately...at a time when they can come
and go, whirr and whirl about...and though
you feel alone,  you are not..., nor will
you be. For there are many others,  myself
included...who have felt this feel.

Your last four lines
will reside to warm hearts
all winter long, TD...

so good to read you.

Almost looking forward to winter
in my writer's nook...

so that I can visit the poets
more often.

There is that feeling as winter approaches, and I feel it,too, on days like today.  So well expressed, Kathleen.   ....jo

I know this mood and you captured it, with mastery.

Like seeing your own breath briefly in exhale.

It's been too long since I have read you, m'friend.

Very much enjoyed.
