When Myst Shall Reign

I watch as the world passes by.
My future, a yesterday's glance.
Though air is warmed in season's false,
I'm chilled by this feverish dance.

I rise to the sunshine's appeal.
Straining to do as I should.
Cleansing my thoughts to the forward of day
Waiting for "what ifs", if I could.

I trip over words on this morn.
Wondering when pressures will light.
Weighted by more than the wait of the reign
Contentment shall myst come the night.

I loved this write Maureen, but my first instinct is to yell, "Tell them to get out of the house!"  LOL Those "what if's" can actually eat at your mind, and keeping busy fills a soul full of joy, and promise, not to mention meeting new people .

An excellent write Maureen...
Hope you are well,

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

I saw this gem
this morning....

I knew I would return...

just as I knew
you knew
I would.
