I write this to Suzy
Cause she’s the only one responding to me,
What does this place need
To people to say they read
Then respond with a quip
Or at least a little wit
I was told Haiku is a community thing
So I give it a fling
And step on some toes
so it goes
howz bout

there was a lady from Kent
who smiled where ever she went
she’d show she was spry
to every passing guy
giving a positive Intent

or maybe

fall calls to us all
with colors and cooling nights
let’s walk together

what would you like to see
in my poetry?

Hey you
Give me a clue!!!!

Dennis the Menace,
Well now, that's a fun and mischievious name. Alas time will likely matter as much as your responding to others. AND the quality of writing which according to this is pretty good. It's a fun write and I hope you have the patience to let us get to know you. And though I'm sure it's been done let me personally welcome you to this site.

I like your effort. You already show more knowledge of poetry than I have. But, I write anyway. Hang in there Dennis and I'll be watching for more of your "stuff".

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Listen to the ones who have been here from the beginning Dennis.
I still am.

Read and comment....things will happen.

DTM,
Which is why I said that time will be required. Also I have found that if people respond to my work and I search out theirs they are inclined to come back for more. As with life, some patience is required. And it's nice to meet you, by the way.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hi!  A lot of people here read but don't always have time to reply.
So, don't ever think people aren't reading your stuff, because they are.
And yes, try to respond to others more
and they will search you out and read and sign yours.
Best of luck..and enjoy yourself.
Hugs~Nancy

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

Very clever!  Great marketing to get us to respond for sure.  I read a lot, but I must admit sometimes I forget to say I did will be better in the future on leaving behind a fingerprint.

Dennis~
Cute is quite okay
If others find it that way
Iffen not, so what?~

To respond in-kind
Is a treat to others here
So ... you should try it !

You will find that we
Are a kind community
A family of friends~

Dennis The Menace
As you do unto others
They will do to you~

Hope you find that this
Is such an honest request
As to make you smile~

These are Senryu's
Hoping they jump-start your day
Now, what do you say ?

Enchantress my thanks,
For the moment of your time,
Dear Mysteria,
Your print is the sweetest find,
And to lovely Marge,
Adds her poetry to mine,
What responses now!
A bevy of beauties write
All so very sweet
To add recognizing lines
To me a welcoming sight.

And agin Nightshade and Sea,
I forget not Larry C,
Yeah I call them all pretty,
At least internal beauty
For the kind friend of Larry.
