Wood'nt You Know...

Some days the load is heavier
as I lift the weight of
and toss them onto the pile
to be discarded later
in providing me warmth.

I ache from the cold
and feel the soreness of exertion.
But Winter has arrived during Fall,
leaving me no choice
but to season my thoughts
with the caring for tomorrow.

I awoke to the time change,
as if it hadn't
and by the end of this day
the long night ahead will be filled
with one less worry
before sleep takes me in
to dream once again.

M..I think dreams are the potion that helps
keep us going....gives us the rest from
reality that we just don't want to endure.

Hoping you are warm...and peace is in your
life...

MsWynterInBLISS~
I'm *giggling*, but only because I have a woodsman that LOVES cutting wood~
AND ... a stockpile of carving blocks that would warm your house in a heartbeat and for a very long time~

Keep those poetic thoughts warm~

Hi M. I just realized the same thing...5 years ago I posted my first poem at Pip. I'm more the here-and-gone-again type. You, however, have graced the these blue walls consistently with your poetic gems, and we are all the better for having had read them.

Keep warm.
Hugs,
D

Nothing like a cozy fire ... nothing like an aching back and arms from choppin' wood.
Enjoyed this Maureen & Congrats on five years of being a pretty Pip poet.
hugs, Chris
