The Fathers House
~ By Sue ~

All through my growing up years
In the fathers house, I would go
Anytime the doors were open
I was always there
I wasn’t just a Sundays child
As I heard them talk about
My Sunday school lessons
I would read and study
In the youth choir I would sing
Even though, I couldn’t carry a tune
(so mother said)
All the books of the bible
I had memorized
Verses and scriptures
I knew them all by heart
I never missed a day
In the fathers house
Even when I was sick
I always felt I did belong
Then, I met a man
(in church, mind you)
Who I eventually married
My life became a mess
Controlling as he was
I could never go again
My life changed tremendously
I was filled with shame
There were things about me
I couldn’t seem to change
Therefore, Sundays come and go
While I stay at home
It seems I lost my place
Where I once belonged

A very sad situation Sue..
Please rethink.  Perhaps it is time for you to go back.
Our Father always welcomes us.
He would be happy to see you come back.
Heart hugs, Nancy

Oh, Sue, this near broke my heart to read. You probably had the voice of an angel, but even if you didn't you certainly have the soul of one. It is so sad that he took so much from you. However, you are building back up what he tore down. In time, you may find yourself back in your Father's House where you belong!

Hugs with love and much affection,
Linda

I think you just stepped onto the path

Sue - we are never really lost... or alone.
The Lord is more than patient, He is Love.
hugs, Chris
