When I lost you, I thought in this way;
so long as you were within sight,
my heart ached after you,
and when you were at a greater distance,
I was able to imagine you close to myself;
but when you were out of sight,
I sensed my heart would recover a little.
Would that my mind succeed
my heart in the convincing!

So often we promise ourselves that our heads will rule.  Funny how they never do.

Even funnier that we never learn that lesson.
