Under the Cheshire – grin moon
the laughter of children
melts, in the amber drops
of the morning rain.
But I, eagerly awaiting the final silence
am never likely to hear it again.

Ouch. I hope that you do hear it again.
It's a beautiful sound...
As I know you know, by reading these words.

Always, Alyssa

I'm shamed -- two years and I have been unaware of such quality! Gotta get my act together, I do.....

I'm setting myself a pleasurable penance...to go back and look up other things you've written.

SEA - Not as sad as it sounds, two small children escaped their mother and ran naked into the morning rain laughing like loons. I was tempted to join them, but then I would have been arrested and branded a pervert. Grandfathers are supposed to be dignified, and their are some who consider me senile enough.

Ratleader - From a wordsmith such as yourself, I am flattered by the compliment. Thank you. If you are going back to read other stuff you probably will be doing penance.

SEA - Believe me, not only freak them out, but they would most likely throw the key away.

so maybe you just need some adults to run nekked in the rain with you, laughing like little kids that laugh like loons...
