Eye

deliberate

concealed

a hairlip in my palm

it smiled

exposing canine tooth

the blood

is shadow on the wall of cave

cueneform,

the first billboard:

"Burmashave"

I walked away

bi-pedal pedestrian

hairy, dancing on the graves

of all before who dared to rhyme

Whitman, Blake, and Yeats--a sign

of simple minds which resonate

simplicity of time.

Words, they should not minuette?

Then why not be a mime instead?

Finding ye profundity

reflected in a shallow pool

stillness of a mirror glass

The greedy dog became an ass

when he dropped the bone he clasped

to feed upon the bone he spied--

reflections of the very eye

deliberate

concealed.

I love it. And, ok, so I don't totally get it, but I'm quite sure that's mostly just because of the meds I'm on. I'll read it again soon, and get it, and then love it even more. It's hard not to love every single word you write. I'm still not sure how you do it... (um, the writing, that is) . Wonderful to read you again.

Always, Alyssa
PS. did you mean cuneiform? Probably not, like I said... the meds...
