Oh my soul! My wounded spirit laid low,
weeping empty tears unshed, into an empty bowl,

    Lone wolf howling admonition,beneath waning,
                 moon's pale light.
Unheard, unanswered, night, upon night, upon night.

Mourn? Yes! I mourn and more!...My soul bleeds!
It bleeds joy, and peace, and hope, and love.

It bleeds my soul these things,
       unchecked,...unabated,...unnoticed,...
as a drunkards blood it bleeds, onto a stinking,
                   bar room floor.

It bleeds for you my people,
it bleeds for this land I love.
Chose you in haste, cruel wrath cold vengence,
Chose you hell's arrogant and proud hawk.

Chose you these things in error.
       Bought you...these things in error,
from forked tounge of satan's spawn.
Bought you the lies, the fear, the wrath,
            bought you, the double talk.

Now all has come to pass,I warned you of yesterday.
Rage and death and hatred, they seek us out like
                       prey.

When will you say my people,
            Oh Will...you say my people?
Forgive US God...Oh Great Spirit, for the terror,
                  we have wrought,
          Deliver us God...Oh Great Spirit,
from destruction's web in which we are caught.

Steve

"I wonder how one person can rearrange
this way of man
where circles were unbroken now all I see
is trash filled cans

And more and more to see my jaded eyes
are looking down
to find the tiny dignity
of some green cement surrounds"

I hear ya, my friend....keep your voice strong!

" It bleeds joy, and peace, and hope, and love. "  The lifeblood of the world, Steven.  I like the power of your words and hope they fall on open hearts as well as the grace of The Great Spirit.
