Then You Might Remember

I have to get beyond tears
After feeling like a fool
Since you ceased to care
Silence can be cruel

I will gather inner strength
Fact being I still exist
While sadness continues
My writing shall assist

Silence had not killed me
The fact I am still alive
Maybe it will surprise you
Somehow I did survive

Death could be tomorrow
Thats the ultimate end
Then you might remember
Calling yourself a friend
