There Are Dangers In Loving Someone Too Much

I wish you didn’t inspire me
there are no words left to talk about
just breath made without sound

there are
too many games in this life
and in words
and I find myself so silenced
in squares of the black and white
and I had been moved
and you played me

where does heart break
and healing begin
                         move me there
once again in your turn

you have all the answers
but truly the questions out weigh
why
when you are so quiltfree

you played bait and switch
you knew just what you were doing
and I got so tangled up in strings
of being your puppet on call
how blind you were
not seeing my heart was attached

why
can you love somebody
too much
just how many times was it, that you asked me if I loved you?

if you only knew
it was just all something
you didn’t understand
I had given my heart to you
now it is just torn in two
I keep one side for myself
and the one given to you
is silent on the empty half shell
sitting next to sorrow

there are so many
one sided conversations
and those with you
and they are all the same

I think back
and I think the cruelest thing
you ever said to me was
“you love me, you just don’t know it yet.”

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

Helen,
I pray all is well. What an excellent though sorrowful write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Helen, that is one hell of a great stanza.

Hmmm ... cutting ... deep

.... gutting and filled of weep

such heart does hold one thing true ...

             when immersed in faith,

                           LOVE becomes you ...
