She may wear the guise of sunrise
a distinction quite unique.
Stay my hand as if held hostage
to the glory of the dawn.

She may share her radiant nature,
grant me words with which to speak,
or, deny me of her presence
casting shadows when she's gone.

Re-appearing at her leisure
dressed in raiment fit for queens,
such a fickle apparition's
not so easy to define.

For, she drives one to distraction,
which, is well within her means,
as she transforms mundane moments
into something quite devine.

Lending color to enlighten
where the mind is free to roam,
she performs in certain fashion
to an audience of one.

A distracting inspiration
at the heart of every poem,
that may hold, at her discretion,
one pure moment in the sun.

Martie,
As well, could be you. I have written many
about my muse, yet, I only hear her words, I do not see her face.
