This is a real charmer about one of my favorie birds.  We just don't have them in Oregon.  Love the new pix.  Ken

Chris, you truly did write a "Crimson Classic".

~ I just came in from a walk among the falling leaves and have just finished juicing some fresh-picked apples!

Hi Nightshade,

This was so lovely, here in southern California our trees just flat drop there leaves in what seems to be one big splash! and not much change of color just green to brown and crunchy. And I hope to one day see such a lovely bird, thank you for such a beautiful visual.

Cerenity, thankyou so much for your kind comments. You would love it here in Ontario Canada right now. The trees actually look like oil paintings! When the sun hits them ...it is a beautiful brilliance. The cardinals always return to our backyard in the fall and winter making a red flash as they fly off. hugs!!

Such tiny poignant touches of beauty you give with these lines....and with caviar, a little is all you need.
