she’s a happy dancer
because she doesn’t know the sky is falling,
that the floor is about to give way
‘neath those oblivious feet

and wouldn’t it be nice
if we could always make her smile

yet even as we walk the extra mile we know
some day she will scream frustration’s call
and all within earshot will run for cover
seeking refuge from her emotional storm

but today she’s a happy dancer
because she does not live
in our reality

For a moment
my mind went            there

and then it went

elsewhere.

But what you did?

Was love.

Excellent Kacy.
Enjoyed. Chris

Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance.
