Haiku is one of my favorite forms of poetry...so much can be said by so few words. This one may be a little dark, but most of us walk through a valley or two to reach the heights of the mountains.

                I feel winter's chill

Hard eyes staring down at me

                My heart is crying.

I like the analogy of the "hard eyes."

Enjoyed!

The study of haiku and senryu can bring some amazing scenes to poetry.

Haiku is generally all about nature.  Senryu can be more towards the personal aspect, including people.

I believe this would be termed a Senryu, and such so, that the hard eyes of winter's chill is indeed upon us.

Well done, Autumn.

Agree with the Sunshiny One, this seems to be a Senryu and a very beautiful one.

Welcome to Pip!
