Dreamscape Four

If I shut slip blink wink this inner goldgreen eye
into thenow, where certain ayes admit
acceptance of curtained unknowns,

mayhap that dram of dream will return
where Kansas becomes a quilt piece again
and torn are the memories of me along some
rocky shoreline, where eye spy thenow of you
as carnival mirrors cavort your physical
from short to tall, and lights change your hair
from blond to dark, where you are one, thenow
and go your away as I ahh, walk awake
with a one I know

knew, loved lovely lonely we are
together but upon which shore, where some
seaside creature floats alive upside down, belly up
as if to show its own inner aye to some fortunate
table of feasts to which it will come,
alive only to feed thenow into submission,

as you and eye the stormy center of thenow,
and it becomes important to discern
where is there by scent,
which sore shore might we walk, you and I, now,

so we measure, us too, two, where
the rocks surround us, wet with spray,
but foam barely builds, air
so mild, though if we were south, thereā€™d be no rock,
and if east, no warmth, while west would bring
stronger surf, but all around us are beached boys,
with only bored in their palms, and we are vacant
of trees.

The now thenow the/n/ow
where the boys were men from yesterlife
and all the eyes of the lands melded with salt
and flying cows
but somehow, someway

you stayed the storm.

And carnival mirrors swallowed thenow.

OMG this is good, love the word perversion
"goldengreen","thenow", "yesterlife", is perfectly placed throughout, like signs that bring the reader back from wandering through the maze in the wrong direction, just in time to find their way to the very satisfying exit....

I could live within your poem...in fact, I think I will!!

The ever-reaching dimensions of your mind push past all horizons.  You are such fun to read.  Ken

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
