on the way to next world

Quiet until patience breaks
Screwed up his tenure
he went ballistic
shot the sheriff prof
done the deputy too
in another country
another year of discontent

Somebody studied under the shot man
then left exposed
the wind and rain washed away
studies eroded
student paid in full
for the explosive behaviour
somebody wanted to lay blame
too late when instructor dies.

I confess I'm not sure I get the complete meaning here but I like the way to string the words together
