Sidewalk umbrellas
in the plaids of the season
and their cinnamon cinders
that cradle the graveyards,
and the gold spinning patches
that will warm the cold tombstones,
and these nights of the harvest
when you blush me with moonlight,
and how i long
for your dance again,
though you will storm me,
come december.

~ Michelle, these lines could only have been scribed by Pip's Goddess of Nature and Poetry.

Exquisite, dear Michele. You sense everything intensely and we are blessed to share in this.

And I love the new picture, I think cats are a must in a poet's life!

Love and hugs.

And so to brace her
Against the changing season
'gainst a frozen heart

A poem-fire, she lights
To keep her warm, winter nights.
