 The Light of Thee ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ There’s heavenly bliss in your embrace, Twinkling stars light up your eyes. I blush whenever I think of you, And flush when the sap does rise. A comet streaking an indigo sky, ‘Tis a wondrous sight to see. It stirs excitement within my breast, But it lacks the fire of thee. The Man-in-the-Moon’s sweet smile, Is charming but cannot compare, To the dimpled cheeks of yours, my love, With your boyish grin and flair. The sun in all its glory, Shines its sunny rays on me. But it cannot brighten my spirit, As does the Light of thee. |

Hi there friend .... Popped in this morning to read some poems and of course, you are at the top of my list. This piece is so loving and delightful. I hope Alan appreciates what a fabulous woman he has! All is well here in the mountains. Foliage a little dull this year but still a sight to behold.
