If I say that the air is heavy
I’m under no contract to prove
my foundations are busy collapsing …
oh, like tarmacadam roads
disappear into sudden sinkholes.

All moments aren’t joyously grand
when daylight plays to a lie
so suffers a fool beneath the moon
the burden of overweight air
and the cure for this;
no, it’s not bliss
but a flash of certain denial
that conquers and overtakes
intuition’s very slow gait.

I’m selling, you know, tickets today
to perception’s fantasy land
but here where I stay it’s car free day
so walk, damn it, walk that mile
and sweat like a railway worker
laying tracks not yet to be used.

Truth – blah, blah, another cup please
of over the counter tea
because final and definite conclusions
left before I arrived.

'tis but a game; heads - I believe,
tails – I should maybe pray
but who flips the coin
for me, for you,
in a world of more sinners
than saints?

I'm going to take your advice here...it's good and healthy too, plus it gives the downs and upward view!!

My thanks to all for the read and for your comments.  Much appreciated.  Intuition is such a confusing thing - sigh!

Thank you for the read, ratleader.  I guess human beings are more alike than we care to admit but I find it a comforting thought.

~ I'm walking! I'm walking! ~ and I hope that I am laying the right tracks!

You are a marvellous writer ~ and thinker!

Big hug for you, Bunches of Honey!
