I can feel the pain,
Gaining hold of my body,
Creeping up my arm
Tingling then to numb
Releasing feeling of me,
Is this changing good?

I can’t feel the numb
Come all over my body,
Letting go of touch
Oh it’s not so much
Since there’s little  touching me,
Is this numbing good?

I close my eyes
And to my surprise
Wake again
Numb without pain
Till a pain comes back
Filling up the black
And return to waking
Another day making.

I guess it all come back
To be or not to be
Slipping into the black
Sleep where dreamers might be
And not to have to stare
At REM’s nightmare.

Take this pill
It helps sleep, yes it will,
You’ll get the rest
To be your best,
But what you don’t explain
Is why my best is wrapped in pain,
Keep your pills and prescriptions
Your potions and notions of cure
Because I know you aren’t sure
I’ll take a pass
And you can kiss my xxxx
