* * *

I guess you wonder where I've been
You haven't seen me in awhile
But I felt the need to hide
And I had no reason to smile

I had been consumed by grief
From the death of a friend
And I began to wonder if
My heart would ever mend

I felt the need to be alone
To shun the outside world
My muse needed a rest
My heart could not be unfurled

At times I have felt frightened
To even pick up a pen
I thought my writing days were over
And that my joy was at an end

But today I've found the strength
As I begin to write once more
Once again I feel the hunger
My heart is keen to explore

My great love affair with writing
Is now ready to resume
As I am constantly inspired
The words are about to bloom

I've missed you the most, dear reader
For you're the left hand to my right
You have encouraged and inspired me
And once again I see the light

Oh, and your absence has been felt. I'm so sorry the reason was due to such a personal loss. Keep the pen active, it has healing power. Good to have you back here, Sue.

Sue, in some ways, your friend may be closer to you now.

I am sorry for your loss.

May your friend's Light always be with you.

Let the healing begin. Writing this emotive poem is a start.

Love & Light and a big, comforting hug,
Linda

Do you have any idea
how much fun it is to see
you come back
with what is spiritual,
and light,
and love...

all wrapped up
in a poem?
