Thoughts slip through time
drifting on currents of
yesterdays emotions
forsaken by the fragile heart
that once held precious moments
close

while struggling to maintain
a smile so glad
throughout pain and tears

too often sad;

the memories float by on breeze
a wish made for just
one touch of a peace
known so long ago

now hidden among
distant shadows
of moon and stars

and unseen dreams.

Oh sweet tranquility
return to me,
break through the darkness
of silent skies

allow again, the light to shine
through emerald eyes

for just one treasured moment
               of simple grace
here within this peaceful place
'neath the silver of harvest moon
I ask of thee,

grant this spirit
serenity.

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

Donna, that is one of the most beautiful poet photos on the net! Your radiant soul shines through and makes my own soul smile!

~ May the Harvest Moon bring you the peace, tranquility, and serenity that your gentle spirit deserves!

Love & Light and a big, warm hug,
Linda
