I Wore

My heart once worn upon my sleeve
Is stained with stains of youths believe
With shadows of my throws and prose
Of youthful tears and runny nose

It was a part of me those days
Where magic fell along the ways
That wrenched me to the core of bloom
And swept me up in times consume

It struck me my Achilles heel
With stains of all the things I feel
The blood that bleed my sweet naïve
Remain upon the cloth my sleeve

Today I use a handkerchief
But do not gain the same relief
For it is buried deep inside
A pocket held for it’s abide

But when I think my youth and sleeve
It somehow brings me back naïve

Good morning, T-Man!

I do believe the young, runny-nose poetette, has grown into a fine POET ~with manners!

I am sending, via EAE (Earth Angel Express), a package of handkerchiefs in every colour of the rainbow! Spare the sleeves! ~ Use a rainbow!

Hugs with love,
EA
P.S. I usually have a deeper understanding of your words, Sir Poet, than my fluffy replies may suggest.

Ah, I remember those "heart on sleeve" days. Thankyou for this Seymour.
Hugs, Chris

I remember the same, like you
the tears, and how time flew

I suppose feelings are needed in life, but when I recall them, they mostly suck.

Well written poetry!  *smile*
