Words Do Not Think

A few words to sublime
Those thoughts you thought to be true
But are false to doubt and prophet
Once that weather man predicted sunshine
In the stead you found darkness
But for the first time saw clearly
That you are in truth someone else’s fear
Instead of that lie that lays beside you
A wet spot that imprinted what you once were
A flower sewn into the fabrics of time
Seeking innocence and patience to grow
Like these letters forming thoughts
When ink and passion are applied
Not to be confused with
The seven struggles of a man’s soul
The first struggle being the writings of his memoirs
Eventually leading to the fourth struggle of rewriting
And records show five to seven are never experienced here on earth
By those on there way to stardom…
In the eyes of God
Who watches with an open mind and heart
Writing his own book of truth and lies
Which become the dreams of those awakened as Angels
Or nightmares to those who will fall as sinners
But I guess it is all relative to your beliefs
Of what you believe good and evil to be
Just look out your bedroom window as you read
You will see several people walking in circles
Eating apples with stomachs that ache without knowledge
To understand the question of why
Before asking the question of when
It all began because you cannot wait until the ending
As promised when you glanced ahead
To the chapters of “Revelations”
And were frightened and elated at the same time
While the ticking of your alarm clock stops as you sleep
Because you continue to think about what is beyond your comprehension
And want to blame Eve as your soul continues to search
For the reason you were put here in the beginning
And so the end comes as a surprise
But not to the One with the answers
Who has an even better question…
What dream has driven this poet’s pen to sing?

Marcel

"And want to blame Eve."...that seems to be the rage now days...to play the blame game...if not they would have to accept personal responsibility...sometimes I fall into that blame category...James
