What Was I Thinking October

I let you go
as if I ever had any hold on you
like life in cut flowers
fog resting softly on water
or smoke circling the breeze
ice melts to dripping water
            as I let you go
I have found that leaves
and rocks fall upwards
and attach to me so heavy
caught as stones in my throat
curious to me that I truly
believed you could love me
what was I thinking October
did I think dreams come true
and breath could come without
the pressure of my chest pushing
how can there be an alphabet
without the letters of your name
when everything thing I write
ends up being about you
or clear skies to fly in
for I have lost my breath
or grains of sand that will not
gently kiss the edge of oceans
but there will be oceans
oceans of salt raining
from this broken heart
for I hold you October
you just do not hold me back
and again…I fall

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

Now, these are words I can completely understand.

This is another great write from one of the blue pages' best writers.

So many words speak of heartache,
Of tears and fears, comings and goings,
But what a different form yours take
Full of pain and sorrow deeply showing.

Oh ... oh, I have known this ...~

This is maddening melancholy, poetically entwined~

..Yes, it's already been quoted, but these lines are amazing.

oh how I wish I had written this angsty beauty...lovely outpouring poetess Helen.

I'll bare the brunt of your long buried pain
I don't mind helping you out ...
But I want you to remember my name
