Where nothing is desecrated,
Find that place.
Sit down softly
In the company of loveliness,
Where your own beauty
Reflects from the ground;
Breast feathers of a wooddrake,
Mirrored in a pond.

Be there, not any other somewhere,
Concentrate, remove
All things not sacred-
Naked ,sit in natural air.

Purge from you soul
Thoughts of making a killing.
Consider how what you say effects community.
Do not try to save labor.
Know your words are money given away,
Plan to live fat on that charity,
Work for the joy in it.

Explain yourself
By your souls Association
With the young and old-
Within, beware
Of institutional thought-
Word yourself economically,
Making full account
Of all hidden costs.

Be a member, read the instructions
Your club being  trees
And mountains, that have no format,
No bylaws-seek answers
In the unknowable, knowing
You will never find them;
Admit that God exists
Beyond your perception,
Jot those feelings down,
Until those feelings become a poem.

There is a dear friend
of ours
who needed this
now...

so I sent it.

I know that is what you
would have done, too.

I am just simply going to say thank you for this,
and hope that it will be enough...

May the spirit bless you for this one m'friend.....

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

Ford, that first paragraph, glued my eyes and heart to the screen, the serenity in this is astounding...

Be there, not any other somewhere,
Concentrate, remove
All things not sacred-
Naked ,sit in natural air.

OH boy! Do I ever love this time, you've described, cherish it, actually!

The trickle effect, and how we so effect the course and lives of others...yes, yes, yes

Explain yourself
By your souls Association

Of institutional thought-
Word yourself economically,
Making full account
Of all hidden costs.

tis the hidden costs which cost the most, but to, teaches us, if we're willing to listen....

Ford...
Some wonderful pearls of wisdom you have left for us this morn.
Seems of late your writing has grown in leaps and bounds..
and all have become 'keepers'.
This one being no exception.
Well done poet Sir.

You don't thaw out very often but when you do it has the taste of honey.

You are so right it is the hidden cost that costs the most, but teaches us for sure!  I shall go ponder this some more.

Enjoyed the "hush" of you.

Not easy to write the silences, but my how you succeed.
