Foot-warmer

buildings spaced out, stretch…
not for longing
just to step into sunshine
together
to feel spin yarns they’ve illuminated
with implicit accusations
popping bright orange reds
like the horizon
touching
the damp forehead
of a golden priest,
a shakin his booty

singing obscure with much energy
two separate fingers stand young
combing middle aged thoughts
stacked around groove couch rooms
combined with outpours
strutting like bulls

down widened bridges they prance
with acquainted market reports
clad in far away looks
of a hundred years ago
playing croquet
plunging into puppy sleeves
painting rings around oceans
with only one intention

a glance back

knowing neglected children
weave wicker chairs
in soft hours of neptune’s
water oaks...
sending out lullabies
into twilight years

unbraiding fate
where a good cry
is eager to be gone,
in a turn of tides
it’s not as if a haze
rests on brooding gloom
but combines a finer lot
in forgetfulness

with palms up,
out-stretched resembles
hearty sea colors
of meditative yachts
which sail
in hours of darkness
waving white flags
of tranquil dignity

therein...is an unknown earth
under immutable halos of stars
and colors of lead
thowing dice
devoted to grab bags of sentiment
not wanting to bother much
with pitiful thoughts

it is clearer to loose oneself
in spaces of earth
delightful mystery
with one white cause

where terror had scattered them,
they hid in corners
of revolving doors, now ajar,
like carriage archways
immense...
like those two buildings
now
stepping back into the sunset...
warm and fuzzy
foolish with unconcerned wisdom

Lee~
My dear poet lady ... I do not pretend to always know the 'all' of your pennings ... however, with each read ... I come away with something that cause me to meditate ... pondering the why and how of you~

'plunging into puppy sleeves

a glance back

knowing neglected children
weave wicker chairs
in soft hours of neptune’s
water oaks...

into twilight years'

By gadfry ... I know GOOD when I read it ... no matter that I may 'see' something different than your initial intend~

I LIKE IT !!!!

What an imaginitive, diversified mind this shows!  I love the different thoughts so pleasantly linked together.  I read this one three times to glean it's beauty.

Oh, and "Footwarmer" brought a smile because that's what Ryleigh (my granddaughter) uses me for. A footwarmer!

You do run the gamut
from happy, to heartbreaking...

and I know we still both wonder
where it all stems from.

I'm beginning to not mind
the mystery, however,
as long as you let it pour forth...
