deep spells, sassy four legged, first instincts
sprint finger paintings, in code speech
cleverly putting wind, to the sails of
cob webs & mud, riding shot gun
with wind’s, pressing hard outside my window

i can hear it change mind, scraping dark shadows
into screams, screams deep rooted, that trip
flashing lights, into whispers of death in the dark
death wearing jewels, of a noble charade
but deep spells lay laurels, in the sanctum of psyche

claiming quiet tears, warmth & reality
angels, throwing darts, like sledge hammers
digging holes in the wall of swaying puffs of
pitiful wounds, magically, like
lingering, plump little fingers of fanatical humans

gathering toward unusual days, of the earth born
whispers….which dare not trouble the healer
wild magic still exists, untouched, hell bent
on sifting through the rubble of time’s ancient
immortality…tick, tick, tick…of instance, stretches
out before me…pale, wounded, but alive

i wonder about pieces of home, where green
ideas park on the roots of power, power in it’s
own circle, like boulders of sound
eschewing sludgy noises of obscurity
currents, churning faster, then slit second thought
blood covered creatures scream in the dark
at the scent of this magic strength…lurking

ahhh, yes, even darkness fears and
limps badly at this flicker of light
harvesting visions, oozing out of the ground
of life, ordained paths forward bound
throwing arms around the waist of mankind
who is unsteady, crossing the foot bridge of life…
making us allies
from the other realms

Marge is correct, you do amaze...but you are also gifted...to write is one thing...to write good is another...you are the latter...well done..thank you..

Dear LeeJ

You must have a treasurebox of words within you, to be able to put so many together in such a beautiful way.

Reading this at gray-dog dawn.
October fog shrouds this autumn morning;
Out on the wet lawn, a touch of light
Has filterered through the lead-heavy sky,
Which carrys a complex weight,
But does not Fully let down rain...
Like the words of this Poem
It holds back from full exposure of aim,
It does not rain, but exudes a heavy dew.

Oh, You!

So good and gracious
to other poets...

while you sweep us away
in a swell of mystic....

I remain [probably always will]
at the way you just let
words wander into a
magick of all their own...

thank God for your muse[s]

May they live....

long, and alive
in your pen....

[I will send refills]
