Being Alone

I don't mind being alone
most of the time
out here on my own
singing my rhyme
for some made-up girl
maybe with red hair
eyes as bright as the world
tell me she's out there somewhere

These days I'm alone
like always, I guess
out here on my own
no real happiness but no sadness
there's just my songs
and October weather as company
help carry me along
help me come upon an epiphany

Where I can discover
something, someone else to live for
maybe I could live for her
but till the day she comes to my door
I suppose I'll be just fine
cozy inside my rhymes
and strangely content in being alone
being out here on my own

Some days it get so cold
sometimes I'm shivering
and there's nobody to hold
but I'll be alright as I'm hovering
over this bed tonight
the October weather surrounding me
and I don't want to fight
I'll just float along here free and easy

I can't quite remember
something, someone else I've lived for
a very significant other
I think she ran away, right out the door
I guess I'm just fine
packed away her valentines
strangely comfortable in being alone
being out here in this bleak world
all on my own

Now Sam Cooke sings to me
as I'm fading out tonight
like the lamp lights on the street
sighing like a raindrop's flight
from the clouds to the ground
falling and splashing without notice
so I'm dreamland bound
stumbling upon her memory in bliss

Yeah I don't mind being alone
most of the time
I'm out here on my own
singing my rhyme
for some figment girl
maybe with autumn red hair
green eyes as bright as the world
tonight
wake me and tell me
she's out there somewhere
till then I'll float along here free and easy

being alone can be good sometimes

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~
