Was it you, oh word, of words, lost in mother’s arms?
Who exiles your tresses, to keep us safe and warm?
You think in reason, not for normal wear
What you feel, shall fit a broken day of care?

Your eyes grow dark, while time disappoints you
Love always lives on…despite the hour of whispers
That leave you sad, alone, in shadows forgiveness
Pain still builds a deed of fortress…

I so wish, you needed me for the change of
All those unfamiliar chimes of failures…of
The air that draped across your flesh
You thought were unfamiliar
You never assumed our still born tardiness
But bore in us children…

Oh Lord, please don’t throw, good words away
No matter how wrinkly or lean
The thing is, despite a never ending stream
There is still a blush of dreams to dream

You never cease to grow, please don’t close the door
Time is sorely precious like the beds we make
I realize the surge of something I can’t control
But it won’t stop me from reaching out to touch
A voice quietly musical, wearing smiles, forms & blush

Wonderful write Lee!!
Tucking this one away for another read
at a quieter, less busy time.
