Listening to every heart

Sounds of Dawn

Oh, in those winsome straits of time ago,
I situated some of my own toes
in some there sounds of sand,

where waves were, pounding beats
of this/that heart, hearing, hearkening,
heaving back
to time, rhyme, those signs ago…

has it been this breath, already?
Has it been this embrace, of long ago?

Morn before next night,
it was quite the bared dream
of a sounds of dawn wish, for
life, before knowing
sense, before whim…

it was surely
sounds of dawn before light,
when clarity, when dreams of must
fall silver into shadows of lucidity

when one stands before shadow
and light
on the cusp of course
of course

and all that can be hoped for
is a time
of recollection.

In the sounds of dawn,
when an angel laughs

and only one might feel
the tremble of a body’s
song.

~*~

On the eve of remembering
a very special California memory.

You are a ray of sunshine, Sunshine. I found this gem of a poem very inspirational. As I struggle to take my life to a higher level. I often feel the road lies in darkness. But I can hear those "Sounds of Dawn" that reassure me I must go on. I loved it, Thanks

God!, how that rolls off the tongue with language sweetness, as it vibrates over the taste buds...yum! Delicious poetry......
