When Im in church i feel God's presence
I feel such joy from His presence
it makes me feel sorry for what i've done wrong
i want to be like Jesus and help others along
i want to do whats right in the eyes of God
in His footsteps alone i want to trod
though at times i turn away
God brings me back to going His way
Though sometimes i do forget my place
I know im always safe at His place
may the Lord watch over you as he has done for me
when your in Gods house your as safe as can be
              you see

And let us be thankful that we walk upon his earth, breathe his air, and his son shines down upon our heads. Thanks Sharksbean

I do admire those that live by what they say they believe.

Sedona is known as a place of "harmonic convergence" among the New Age types -- and it is, I learned by going there. Without ever trying for or even wanting such a thing, I have learned that I sense spirit; if there is any spiritual presence, I am starkly aware of it, and there were places in the Sedona area where I could barely focus on the visible things around me because of the intensity of what wasn't visible.

There's a Christian chapel built into the mountainside nearby....visiting that place I was dismayed to find that something else lives there, in the cliff above it: something that hates that chapel's intrusion everlastingly, and which sent a tidal wave of resentment at me, the moment it became aware that I was aware of its presence....my hair was literally standing on end, and I was so put-upon that my wife noticed my distress and asked if I wanted to leave.

Leave, and let it win? Of course not -- that's not how I'm made....so I stayed, though I ended up backing down the walkway when we did leave, not to turn my back on the cliff. I had to face it, to be sure of warding it off. I could still sense it when we were two miles away.

An odd thing -- as we stopped to read a placque on the wall of that church, I noticed that suddenly the flow of hatred was turned aside if I stood close to the building. There was another presence in that chapel, which that ancient thing's wrath couldn't penetrate. If I took a step back, it was like stepping under a waterfall; forward again, and I was free of it.

Yes. It's real, what you speak of here.
