Eden’s Divorce

It is our time of Eden’s loss
The apple turned to applesauce
And fear has changed the valleys deem
From clear of brook to muddy steam

No more is there tranquility
But crashing waves futility
Argosies of prime and grime
Cavorting on quick silvers time

A sea of everlasting seem
Pathways of unending dream
Crashing circles of unveil
A child with shovel, sand and pail

We chaste upon the grime of time
A people’s pie with baste of lime
A pie full of humanity
To serve it to eternity

This pie will also turn to sauce
And once again we will divorce

Sy

"In the Circle of Life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle, the Circle of Life"

From, The Circle of Life, The Lion King.  Thanks for reminding me with your words, of this beautiful song.

A very thought-filled poem!

~ But as our dues are duly paid
  Tart lemons become lemonade

Would you care to have some applesauce with me? ~ and wash it down with some sweet lemonade?

Angel hugs 'n kisses,
EA

I like the way Linda turned things around with your poem....I'd like some lemonade, too, please...lol.  It seems like the cycles are always there, but perhaps we can get a little closer next time if we remember "fear is the mind killer".   ....jo
