I woke up this morning before the rising of the sun. In the nights darkest hours I though of the race we have run.

Have our years been wasted, chasing a falling star? Though you walk beside me I wonder who you are.

How much more can we give, How much more can we take. Is the life we're living, is it real, or is it fake?

The tears are always waiting, they've just forgotten how to fall. We have to find the answer, our backs are against the wall.

How can we rekindle the love that we once knew? I don't know the answer, thats why I'm asking you.

Steven, the line about the tears having forgotten how to fall touched me.

Steven

Those questions in the night weigh heavy.  In the asking may be the step that opens the door of communication.

Thank you all for the hugs and hopes. I know there is an answer I just don't know what it is yet. Until I came here and began to read and share, give and take I didn't think there was.

I think peace ,love, and hope, must all be born of the truth. And the truth sometimes can be so painful it is sold for a small measure of peace. We have a lot to work with she and I.

Dear Steven, your words touch the heart. Such painful awareness of lost harmony! But with the awareness comes the possibility to mend …

Beautifully shared!

Love and hugs.

because from moment to moment time changes so to, does love...it never stays the same, nor can one go back to what it was...in the trying times of disappointments, expectations, unmet...the two have grown as well, and if two are able to withstand the downs, and grow from them together, then they go forward, enriched, realizing, as the world turns, so will they, be tuned and groomed.  Who was it that said, in order to appreciate love, you must endure the pain that goes with it?

Hugs to you and she, in hopes for many rewards.

I didn't know you had posted these lyrics until just now.  Sadly introspective, they made a beautiful song.  But love....love evolves, and it always blesses.  It seems to wear many faces...maybe love requires new eyes, as years go by.  (Funny, "evolves' even contains the same letters.)  Steven, thank you so much for sharing!

Hugs,
Karen

Thank you Ladies, Tina Marie said she could relate to the words and was able to sing the plea. I know a lot of people are in search of that rekindling. I hope we all can find it. :-)
