The rain today a bonus pain,
grey sky like two gold stars
stuck at angles unaligned
with the clarity of heart.

No music but the tick of years
resounding loud inside
and it could be the thunder
if I moved the soul aside.

Weary now the eyes
of searching for the blue
like looking for a treasure
in an unfounded view.

And I rank with the pitiful,
this is known because I’m old,
but love is death defying
though blood like water cold.

Up and down the ladder
and no one seems to know
the stars in the night sky
the place where lovers go …
when it isn’t raining!

If pain could be described in an exquisite manner, then you have just done it, Helen.   ....jo

Love has gotta hurt a little sometime to flourish, with constant change and faithful hearts, love ripens with time...

Excellent writing Lady...
