Just a word
Before I go
Though
It illuminated not,
But at least
It lets you know
You
Haven’t been forgot.
As I drift
Beyond this realm,
And leave so much behind
I anchor
Not to the helm
And guide beyond the mind.
Just a glance
Looking back
Till I’m out of sight
I slip away
Into the black
Fading into the night.

Gloom

This is quite sad to me Professor.
I do hope that everything is okay in your little part of the world.
Always left pondering your writings.
hugs, Chris

This fits well
with a word of lost...
either that, or the fact
that one cannot regain
what was forbidden...

either way,
a very poignant write, Sir.

Thank you Angelheart,
Not that much of a mystery,
Just don’t put too much on the realm change
For what is a realm
Perhaps just another land of dreams?

Thank you, Nightshade
Pleased you enjoyed
As for my little part of the world
About the same as always,
Which might be not so good for most
But I’ve grown used to it.

Thank you, Sunshine
Always what has gone is lost
Till we can swim back through the currents of time
Your support is always a aid to me

If melanchology could be considered beautiful, then, Gandolf the Grey, I think this is.  Just don't "go" too far.   ....jo

I understand, dear Professor Gloom ... I know of this drifting, but I am also aware that LIGHT is never far and I am always guided back into its Path ... wishing you the same!

You are a beautiful Poet!

Love,
Margherita

The need to drift is so inviting, as if a ritual of cleansing each time.  Yet your words show a small bit of regret for what is left.  Well done.
