Dance of freedom

* * *

Oh, to feel
this mighty motion
of my heart!
As if stirred by
atavistic propulsion,
it leaps out of
its matter anchored center
and heads towards
ethereal dancing floors.

No count down,
no rigid scheme of steps,
no harsh voices
dictating rhythm and moves,
no iron strings
to keep me
on prefixed trails.
All I need is some lace
and wings of butterfly.
There is this inner tune,
a blend of sounds
like songs of nightingales,
of melting icicles
of summer lawns
and falling leaves.

A breeze of renewal
carries my heart
above leveled grounds
to soar high across
realms unknown,
to take part in creation
and to joyfully perform
its dance of freedom,
in hushed devotion
to the original sounds
of all permeating love.
Thus my heart flies
in genuine attempts
to be its own choreograph.

Do not try therefore
to tear my heartstrings,
but join me and soar
across eternity,
dancing forevermore
this infinitely rewarding
dance of freedom.

Love, Margherita

A mixture of human grace, hope and a positive placement of your feelings...indeed, lovely as a balerina....

But here it is, the connection of the human spirit to mother earth..a very important stanza, in my mind......reminds me of Wordsworth...

"There is this inner tune,
a blend of sounds
like songs of nightingales,
of melting icicles
of summer lawns
and falling leaves."

Now the image and words had me wrapped around your finger Margherita!  I love the ballet, and you captured the sensation that runs through a lover of ballet's soul to a "T."
