Day abides in the hush of intuition
Overcast upon the softness of your heart
This bond that pulls pectoral strumming
And I ally with feelings this intense
Emotions move the hemispheres in swell
Walking on to find myself in well
The trees bend bow, a golden crown
Ahead of me your footprints hold my form
The ache inside was never made of anger born
Just thoughts that reoccur in amber and amethyst
Where have you tucked away this dream?
The one begun in flirt of a burgundy skirt
That brought erect the horizontal sleep of love
Then we’ve achieved in silence more than ever said
You pace the banks of tonic waters
Through the vapors evidence appeals my sight
And I observe myself in footsteps kindly placed
I know instinctively the shiver of your body ‘neath my touch
The conversation made of quivered lips a breath against your face
And yours from mine was made in waiting all this time
Then flood into my soul such radiant adieux
