Somewhere Within

It was at night I dreamt a sight
An amber glow, of amber light
Lighting staves of waves of graves
An enclave full of stone engraves

And there within the pile of stones
I heard the whisper of the bones
A drum beat of a rank of roll
That ate into my very soul

I stooped to read each word I could
Brushing mold each stone I stood
And there in amber glow was fed
The secrets of the gone and dead

But quicksand grabbed onto my feet
And I was drawn below the peat
Down into the dew of dawn
That clings and rings each cue of morn

And though I rubbed my eyes to free
The words were gone my mind to see
And I was drawn back in estate
The black of wait that is my fate

For now too late my strut of prime
I wait the glut and cut of time

Seymour, your mastery of the craft is a sight to behold. I don't know if your dream was real or not but these chills running up my spine surely are.
