Listening to every heart

quote:
Suffering is an auxiliary of creation.

Léon Bloy
1846-1917
Pages de Léon Bloy
1951

Stream, these thoughts
of some support, for who might most
be gifted by misery;

who more might benefit from the rug
tugged from beneath ancient foot-speak,
and all manner of semblance
in slight but mighty creature comforts;
who may perhaps allow that endurance
that makes one stronger?

Reaching hands, though none we might know,
stretched out in some media begging,
with no bend to given back
in up-righteousness;
oh, no need for crayon here;

but not you.  No, not you, for
you would react as have thine own
family; no take but give and let give,
‘till spread out from thine own vein
life’s blood of gift, even if all you could give

were thought, prayer, some faint scent
of candlewick burning.

Oh, this, I know. You will pass on by the
suffering, bequeathed in some way
with renewed spirit, a force de jour

and we, all, await thy feast
of a willowed soul, and her
literary toil.

Eclipse our minds….

SIL....this is unbelievably good....the depth of it is overwhelming.  Sitting here tonight with electric flickering (just now started so I'm working fast).  We're going to be fine here I feel certain(!!)...but certainly, all of humanity is being confronted with some important choices.  Love you, SIL!  ....jo

This feels like it's for me....and also many others right now.   Thank you for you every-loving heart!

What can I, but look upon myself in pity. When only in part I comprehend. When I can but smell the faint scent of candlewick burning.

Would that I could picket
in protest of your prose
And claim a sticky wicket.
but no! The candle scent of rose.

You write with such insight!  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Very profound write, dear Karilea!

And it's so true that when we step out of the tunnel of suffering, the light - ours and the world's - shines brighter than ever ....

eclipsing our minds. I love this expression especially! Very powerful!

Margherita

A message  to the world in a world class poem...

God knows I love to wake on a Sunday morning and read language such as this...to the point and focused on the subject...
