winter moves across the porch
like a lover stuck to my tongue
with a pervasive growth disorder
red flags, a breakthrough, moving cheeky
as daylight crashed with words
by the hats you wear

i may be quit ho-hum, but i’m pulling off
the formica table that was screwed down
to a microphone owned by a little boy
hiding in a corner, with calloused fingers
and a pattern of opportunism
in material form
mainstreaming live videos like
rumba lessons with pale shoes
behind the backdrop of summer bees
snooping into attitudes

as if his own ceased to view
night fields owns us…where we read
about those hills and the watchman nodding
one may believe your serious
but zoom in on that ripped screen

we all possess our vices…
yes, even you!
so to the secular myth of those who wish
to be birds…they are just that
white birds with song

rising light with unlimited cheeks
far beyond, pulling all secrets
like a hurricane hanging cars
while surf fishing in the dark
the nightmares strain to see footprints
in the sand…

If it were not so…then why did you
strain to hang your light bulb?
what’s that noise
did you burst a blood vessel
trying to defend your reasons?
consenting adults doesn’t give anyone
the right to orchestrate a persona…
you were a class act
so inflated while sitting outside my home
listening in on my telephone…

If you look for something hard enough
your bound to find it…certainly
causing one to believe, you never trusted
yourself…
i still cannot believe the hot air balloon
you bought
waiting to be revealed
you played chess with my passport...
the one you stole
standing there watching me at the airport

and yeah, I tried to clean up
the spill with
recycled paper towels...but
for what my soul & mind went thru
it was an even trade

LeeJ - I may not know where I started from or where I'm going to but I sure did enjoy this meander.
"behind the backdrop of summer bees
snooping into attitudes" - Had to smile at this because - hey, isn't that what women do or is it just me that perceives truth from attitude?

Your language is always greatly captivating and this write makes it clear, that no one can hide in the dark for you, because you detect all the elusions well before they disappear … your strength is felt and I express my admiration.

Love,
Margherita
