I thought of you there
when I waited by santa claus
for the sea skins to dance their eve

how you would tell me of water
and feasting on the temptations
that spread their bounty on the sand

you were behind me in the night
writing your chanting on my back book
some other woman wore your eyes

but the pen of your touch was virgin
even though you made words again
like you did in the dreams

and those my soul knew so very well

When she is there, even if she is not. You described this so masterfully.

DS

Santa Clause slips so quickly by, driving along and it's there, then gone.  This must be a different one without the little train?

You are young at heart, my friend!
