While
While sitting on a fence one day Watching wind and leaf in play I spied an apple pie in cool That went from eyes to taste to drool
And in my mind I said a sigh I would a piece this apple pie But must get down upon the ground To close the distance of surround
But on the ground my feet would touch The grime of time and such and such To step within the bog of press And make me sink into distress
And there the hesitation re: A thing to be or not to be And I was at a quandaries stay Bite the apple or not this day
But I was saved this coup of core The pie had disappeared indoor

to succulent this inner core of things...dresses us up differently when we touch the ground...but you, Sy, know, for certain, from whence the goodies come....

It's great when you can take something simple and turn it into the impetus of our beginnings. Wonderful write, Sy!

So, the early bird really does catch the worm, or pie, or perhaps you snooze you lose?

Great poem! Who of us has not weighed the cost of our actions to the point of indecision. Only to painfully watch a golden opportunity slip from our grasp. Be fore warned fate I'm hungry for pie today! Thanks

iliana LOve your replies. Hugs
Sharon, Perhaps you lose the pie or worm but you might gain a nice dream.
