~~*~~

Sun rose, a ball of fire
pressing the coming day thoughts
to a destination unknown.

Absence of presence
in the quiet morn faded,
as challenges mounted
and a smile reached its level
of contentment.

Sun set as the Full Moon rose
like a quartz crystal ball.
Imperfections of the day
to carry me into nightshadow arms.

I ache in those places unseen
and fear the uncrowded and abandonment,
when anchored in night's cover.

To close the distance...
To be held up by words...
and reach tomorrow's dance...

the matter of me~~

MM

the other night as I arrived home from a long day,
I was gifted by the moons glow from behind a nearby hill ....

... it looked as if the horizon was consumed by fire ....

it was as beautiful as your own words here ...

        excellent!!

A very good poem, a very fitting picture, and a lead in quote from one of the worlds great poets...

But these lines, in my mind, make it better than a very good poem, in fact, they make it an excellent one...

"Absence of presence
in the quiet morn faded..."

I love "Absence of presence" times, they give the mind a chance to rest...

enjoyed
