under the cloak, lives a peddler
A formidable guest
owning intense poverty, where
riches are
full lipped
destiny
awaiting
quarrelling things of philosophy
fair play takes a seat in mid-air
herding cattle toward gut feelings
devoted to cathedral music
teetering on probability
pointing toward a bend in the road

unswerving improvements
directing principled fibers
playing tug of war with convention
set forth in supernatural powers
bringing indecent weather
just
to count the cost
like obstinate soldiers
of charity
working to move a map
an infallible guide
pushing blood vessels
closer to limitless supremacy

storing insight and experience
making words self-sacrificing
with an appetite for far better things
realistic, ghost like
imploring forgiveness in the face of
suffering
standing well-built for the attempt
where clouds meets with ground
filling a paradox staggering
fusion between many worlds
nearness by likeness
where happiness is found
tugging on the mind
with many senses
in a place build in
supported by images of
charitable trust

owning intense poverty,...

See?  It is in the writing
of such a line as this,
that keeps your reader
reading.

Hugs~Nancy

I wait now at the lake or walking by the bay
I wait and listen or put a seashell
to my ear and it all comes back
the wind's soft murmur..and you.

... this alone would already be enough to bow to you, dear richly gifted poetess!
