Come rain
Let the sky release it’s hoarded vigor
Pour the feelings of a red dawn to this earth
Fill bucket and stream to the banks and beyond the brim

Come rain
Let down the glass blue tears of surrender
Soak the soils to saturation, unfaltering upon the maple glade
Shower every blade of wheat, every copper leaf upturned

Come rain
Shake the essence of a noble fast; sate the thirst of desert cast
Dye the lifeless hours slicker, lush upon the lips come quicker
Fill the empty well up in advantage; spill a river’s rampage

Come rain
Wet the bark of emissary oak; quiet down the crimson roaring stoke
Silence all the wild that paces, finger laces, wash away
Swell the rose hips in a deluge spent today

Come rain
Come rain
Come

WOW...stunning words calling upon nature...I felt like I was transported to witness how the forgotten tribes called upon nature to grant their requests...I love the vision this poem took me to....*big hugs*
